Whether it is Friday night lights football games or pep rallies for our championship-winning basketball team, our students get together to cheer on our 15 different Athletic Teams! We have one of the largest and most active intramural sports programs in the country; we have more than 50 intramural hockey teams alone! Enjoy getting together for friendly competition ranging from inner-tube water polo to soccer and more. Our Physical Activity Centre includes a 13,500 square foot fitness centre, 2,400 seat triple gymnasium, 210 metre running track, 42 foot climbing wall, racquetball / squash courts and a Jr. Olympic swimming pool.
Louis' Pub, in the heart of campus, is open during the day and evening for meals, and hosts music shows throughout the year. Both touring and local bands are showcased. We are proud to have world class performing ensembles rehearsing and performing right here on the uSask campus as well as diverse entertaining plays performed every season by our student actors. Our grassy Bowl, at the centre of campus, is a hot spot for Ultimate Frisbee in the summer and snow sculpting in the winter and if you enjoy socializing and meeting new people Campus Rec has the perfect experience for you!
With over 130 campus clubs and societies, it's easy to find a group of people with common interests. Joining a group is extremely easy and is a great way to meet like-minded people, make a difference, and/or obtain professional development.
All students have free, unlimited access to lynda.com, an online training resource containing thousands of videos. Our campus computer store offers computer and printer repair services and a laptop clinic to tune up your device, install software, remove malware, and more. If you need to store and share your digital files, the university offers a free service to all students called ownCloud.
The International Student and Study Abroad Centre (ISSAC) is a bustling hub of student activity, centrally located ISSAC is a place where you can relax with friends, get advice from an International Education Officer, study or participate in a variety of events and cultural activities hosted by university partners or student groups throughout the year. The Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre is an inclusive, intercultural gathering place that is dedicated to student success. The centre is a place to connect with other students, access campus supports and use the bright and open student space. The centre also provides space for Indigenous student leadership and is home to the Aboriginal Students' Centre.
